Management & Organizations Advisory Board Created to Support Our Department in Achieving Its Mission
In an effort to bring together business leaders with the skills and interests to support our department, Management & Organizations recently established the Department of Management and Organizations Advisory Board.
The goal of the Board is to ensure that the Department is connected with and relevant to contemporary business. Board members are lending their expertise, serving as speakers in classes, helping develop applied research partnerships, identifying executive education opportunities, and helping facilitate our outreach and development efforts.
According to Stephen Gilliland, Department Head, “The initial board meeting was a complete success, with strong support and commitment from our founding board members.”
Board member Brian Lesk hosted the meeting in San Diego on his yacht. In addition to enjoying the sun and water, board members engaged in a lively discussion of the opportunities and challenges facing the department. The meeting closed with a pledge from board member Christine Olson to make this the strongest board possible.
