About the Program
Management and Organizations undergraduate coursework focuses on organizational behavior and managerial decision making, as well as business communications. The department prepares students for a variety of managerial and leadership positions, as well as for post-graduate work in business, public administration, and law.

Based on a ranking of 2011 research productivity in top-tier management journals, the Department of Management and Organizations ranked in the top 5 schools worldwide — a notable accomplishment considering the ranking is based on total publications in top-tier journals and is not adjusted for department size.
The Ph.D. in Management
The doctoral program prepares students for research and teaching positions at major universities. Coursework encompasses a broad range of theories and methodologies including those from psychology, sociology, political science and management, with an emphasis on research. Fields of study include organizational theory, organizational behavior and judgment/decision making.
